Project of the Year – Engineering Projects Inc.
This award was presented to the builder member who has completed a project within the previous calendar year that utilized the best practices outlined in the Builder’s Association of Central PA’s Contractor Quality Commitment Program, demonstrates innovation in business practices and attention to detail and exemplifies the type of product and or service that sets BACP members apart from non-members.

Engineering Projects has met this criteria with it’s completion of the 5^th certified Green Home in the State of PA. The Jellen residence in Mingoville achieved a silver level certification through Green Communities Alliance - a PBA supported Green Building Program that follows NAHB’s Green Building Standards. The certification program thoroughly examines all aspects of the home: Lot design, preparation and development, Resource Efficiency, Energy Efficiency, Water Efficiency, Indoor Environmental Quality, Operation Maintenance and Homeowner Education, and Global Impact. By virtue of putting the project through the green certification program, the homeowners were engaged in the process from start to finish and the project had to endure scrutiny above and code regulations and zoning requirements.

The Builders Association of Central PA is proud to say that one of our members produced the 5^th certified home in the state. It shows dedication to the profession, progressive thinking and a passion for doing what’s right.
